Containing only 38mg/l of fixed residue, it is one of the lightest bottled waters in Europe. In addition, Levico uses exclusively glass bottles – the only 100% recyclable material.

Levico water is the purest expression of its territory: Trentino. It comes from a pristine spring in the coniferous forests of the Valsugana, at a height of 1660m in the Alps, where it is collected and then bottled in the Levico plant. Exclusively using glass bottles allows its characteristics to be preserved right to the table.
With only 38 mg/l of fixed residue, Levico water is one of the bottled waters with the lowest mineral content. It is a light water, with an equally light imprint on the environment thanks to the innovative zero-impact factory and sustainable production processes.
Due to its lightness, the infinitesimal concentration of sodium and salts, Levico water is recommended for those following low-sodium diets, for people with hypertenson and in particular in the diets of babies and children.

NATURAL MINERAL WATER

What is natural mineral water and what are its benefits for the body

Natural mineral waters are a category defined by Legislative Decree No. 176 of 8 October 2011 which states: “Natural mineral water is water which, having their origin from an underground stratum or deposit, come from one or more natural or drilled springs and which have particular sanitary characteristics and, possibly, properties favourable to health”.

In short, natural mineral waters, including Levico, are distinguished from tap water due to their original purity, conservation, mineral content, oligominerals and their positive effects on health. They can have different degrees of mineralisation: Levico is one of the lightest waters in Europe thanks to the fixed residue of less than 50 mg/l, which places it among the “minimally mineralized waters”, that is one of the bottled waters with the lowest mineral content.

Fixed Residue

Levico, with its very low level of fixed residue, is a low mineral content water and for this reason it is ranked among the lightest in Europe. Low mineral content water is able to help our body to expel harmful substances and excess waste. Pure water is also an excellent health aid: it prevents dehydration of the body’s cells by keeping the skin younger for longer.

The pH value

A correct PH value is extremely important to slow down the oxidation process of the organism, linked to aging. It is advisable to drink pure water daily with a slightly acid pH, such as Levico water, because an alkaline pH would favour the oxidation process and therefore cellular aging.

Sodium

Sodium is essential for the healthy balance of the body: if taken in excess, however, it retains water inside the tissues thus causing water retention. For low-sodium diets, mineral waters with a sodium content of less than 20 milligrams per litre are recommended: Levico water only has 1.5 mg/l.
